PRE-DRIVER TRAINING
Pre-driver Lessons for under 17's are conducted at our Driver Training Centre adjacent to Newark Showground, Newark, Nottinghamshire by a fully qualified DSA Approved Driving Instructor in Dual-controlled vehicles.

Pre-driver Lessons are available for 16-17 year olds with a qualified DSA Approved Driving Instructor in a dual controlled car for those who would like a structured approach in preparation for taking driving lessons on the road
For those special occasions such as birthday or Christmas, we offer up to a two hour pre-driver experience (from age 14 -17) which are ideal as an initial introduction to driving and can be supplied as gift vouchers which are valid for three months. HEADSTART Pre-driver Programme for 16-17 year olds
The Headstart pre-driver under 17 driving programme for age 16+ is ideally suited to 16-17 year olds who are looking at taking driving lessons as soon as they are able and can be followed up with private practice at our training centre or additional instructor lessons.
Safestart is in the unique situation of being able to demonstrate the difference between safe and unsafe driving practices and the consequences that can result. Pupils would not benefit from this experience through normal lessons on the road.
The pre-driver programme can also be useful for the nervous or people who would prefer a safe environment away from other traffic to build up their confidence before going on the road. For those who are recovered from any medical conditions, lessons at our training centre are ideal for gaining confidence prior to going on the road or having to either have an assessment to re-gain your driving licence or before re-taking a driving test.
GROUP Road Safety & Pre-driver Training Sessions for schools/colleges/youth groups: Classroom Work - Demonstrations - Practical Driving Skills - Road Safety Awareness. A cost effective way to get the road safety message across in a practical setting to potentially vulnerable groups (available during term time and selected dates during school holidays).
